Here’s a little tidbit of my activities in the thermoforming industry… I have a business degree from Ferris State University…Graduated in 1982…I’ve worked in various manufacturing environments until I started at Brown Machine (the leading thermoforming equipment manufacturer in the industry) in 1985, as Brown machine’s cost & estimating manager, my time there also included a short tenor, in a temporary capacity, as the company’s financial-controller. I departed Brown Machine in January 1990 to start a new business endeavor…” Thermo former Parts Supplier”… which I started along with a partner, I was the primary shareholder of this company. TPS had started initially as an after-market replacement-parts supplier, specializing in the thermoforming industry.
However, as customers grew to like our service & products, they began to request retro kit systems, and then complete equipment-rebuilding services, and eventually completely new designed and constructed equipment. I am currently the President/Owner of Monark Equipment Technologies, which I started in 1996…after a split with my partner of 6-years at TPS. As Monark, I have asked our team to focus on need-based, instead of industry standardized, equipment designs…in providing both Cut-Sheet/Heavy-Gauge and Roll-Fed/Thin-Gauge thermoforming equipment.
